Preheat oven to 400 degrees; grease a cookie sheet. In a large bowl, combine the flours, sugar, oats, baking soda and salt; mix well. Add 1 cup buttermilk all at once; stir just until the dry ingredients are moistened. On a lightly floured surface, gently knead until the dough holds its shape. Place on the cookie sheet; pat out to a 7-inch circle. Cut into 8 wedges; separate slightly. Brush with 2 tablespoons buttermilk. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes, or until golden brown. Serve warm.
