CRANBERRY NUT SCONES

Scone Ingredients:

  • 1 package Betty Crocker pie crust mix
  • 1/2 cup Nuts -- chopped
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons Half and half
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Cranberries -- chopped
  • 1/4 cup Sugar

Scone Preparation:

Heat oven to 400° Mix pie crust mix (dry), nuts, 1/4 cup of sugar and the baking powder in medium bowl with pastry blender or fork until well blended. Beat half-and-half and egg; stir into pie crust mixture until evenly moistened. Carefully stir in cranberries. Pat into 8 inch circle on ungreased cookie sheet. Cut into 8 wedges. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake 16 to 18 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm
