National Iced Tea Month is Over but Summer is Heating Up!

by Imperial Tea Garden July 13, 2017

National Iced Tea Month may be over, but summer is just starting to heat up.  We have been putting a lot of posts on Facebook and Instagram featuring iced tea and in particular our custom blended Baja Iced Tea.  A perfect blend of high mountain grown tea with a unique malty character and smooth black tea fullness.  Almost any loose leaf tea can be used for making iced tea.  Give it a try, brew it, cool it to room temperature, add ice and you are all set for a refreshing glass of iced tea. Some teas are just better iced, so take the guess work out and visit our recommended iced tea page.

Iced Tea Preparation:
AMOUNT TO USE: To make 1 QT, put 6 slightly heaping teaspoons of loose tea into a teapot. Pour 1¼ cups of boiling water over tea.

ICED TEA BREWING RECOMMENDATIONS: Steep 5 minutes. Fill a serving pitcher 1/4 full with cold water. Pour tea into serving pitcher straining the tea. Add ice, top-up with cold water, garnish and sweeten to taste.
