Assam Blast Hard Iced Tea

Tired of drinking the same iced tea?  Liven up your summer with the Assam Blast Hard Iced Tea from Imperial Tea Garden. Follow this recipe for a refreshing and unique drink that will keep you relaxed all summer long. 


  • 2 teaspoons loose leaf black tea or 3 tea bags per 6 cups of water.  Use a strong malty Assam Black tea or Assam tea bags  available at Imperial Tea Garden.
  • 4.5 oz Rum (3 Shots)
  • 4.5 oz Vodka (3 Shots)
  • 3 oz Peach Schnapps (2 Shots)
  • 16 oz Cranberry Juice (2 cups)
  • 8 oz Grape Juice (1 cup)
  • 8 oz Pineapple Juice (1 cup)
  • 1 lemon (1/4 cup squeezed)
  • 1 Tablespoon Grenadine
  • 1/2 cup sugar (adjust to taste).  Additional ideas for sweeter tea include: using a pinch of Stevia leaves, cane sugar, or honey. Use blue agave nectar for a low glycemic option.
  • Ice
  • Optional: Garnish with sliced orange, lemon, lime or fresh mint leaves.  


  1. Steep tea in 6 cups (48 fluid ounces) water.
  2. Add sugar as desired to hot tea until dissolved.
  3. Allow tea to cool
  4. Slice lemon and squeeze with citrus juicer
  5. Combine lemon juice, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, grape juice and grenadine into 1 gallon pitcher
  6. Add vodka, rum and peach schnapps
  7. Add brewed tea into pitcher, stir and fill remainder with ice
  8. Serve over ice and garnish as desired
