Cinnamon Scones

We are diligently working on getting the hundreds of scone recipes on our new website but this was too good wait. Our family loves tea and scones! The kids are always coming up with something new to try like Butterfingers, Jelly Beans or Snickers. I don't know how new these are but I picked up some Hershey Cinnamon Chips while passing through the baking aisle today and the result was fantastic.

Preheat Oven to 400° F


  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup Sugar
  • 2 TBS Butter (Melted)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 2 cups All purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup Cinnamon Minis
  • 1/2 cup Pecans - Crushed
  • Powdered Sugar

Whip egg and stir in Milk, Sugar, Butter, Vanilla, Baking Powder, Salt & Cinnamon powder. Stir mini chips, pecans and flour and make a ball. Keep folding until all of the ingredients are thoroughly mixed. Roll out to 3/8" to 1/2" on lightly flour dusted pizza stone or baking sheet and bake 15 minutes or until top is starting to brown. Generously add powdered sugar to top of scones.

Cut into squares and enjoy with a cup of Assam Black Tea or Market Spice Tea!
