The following scone recipe is provided for entertainment purposes and not for

easy to prepare, there is an art to making them the right consistency and thickness.

FRESH CRANBERRY SCONES

Ingredients:

1 cup Fresh/frozen cranberries -- chop
3 cups Flour
1/2 cup Sugar
1 tablespoon Baking powder
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
3/4 cup Butter
1 1/2 teaspoons Grated orange rind
1 cup Buttermilk
Preparation:
In food processor, blend dry ingredients. Cut butter in. Stir in berries and rind. Turn
into bowl and add milk with fork until just moist. Gather dough into a ball and place on
a floured board. Roll or pat into a circle 3/4" thick. Cut into 12 pie shaped pieces.
Place on greased baking sheet. Brush tops of scones with milk and sprinkle with sugar
and cinnamon. Bake at 400 for 15-20 min until lightly browned.
